Bullets & Belles • Alofeel • $5

Bullets & Belles is Neo Doo Wop Folk. Think Amy Winehouse and Dion & The Belmonts, but also Simon & Garfunkel and Taj Mahal. Their performance effortlessly glides from hard hitting blues, to soulful doo-wop, to traces of country folk. Their sublime three-part vocal harmonies and deeply-felt poetic lyrics, paired with solid rhythms and well thought out vocal arrangements seamlessly bend through the rules of genre while always leaving the audience wanting (and often whistling…)  The band lives in Portland Oregon by way of Salt Lake City, UT. Each member with their own history of training, theater, performance and passion for a wide range of music. Bullets & Belles formed in 2011 and released their premiere 'Curried Rice EP' in 2012. In 2013 their debut album "BE GLAD" launched them into the professional music sphere. Their highly anticipated followup, "READY" was released May 2015, under HeyHay Productions.

Alofeel: alofeel was conceived in 2015 by musician Aaron Peterson, vocalist for Eletro-Pop's Pistol Shrimp and trumpeter for Portland's Samba band Popgoji. Drummer Roy Shryne and Bassist Michael Hyde joined Aaron in late 2015 to create a trio and enhance alofeel's live show. Writing smooth, and lowkey electropop, the soundscape strives to break the mold of stereotypically abrasive electronic music, and is influenced by hip-hop beats, jazz and indie rock music.
