Robin Jackson Band • Moorea Masa • $10

"His distinctive vocal style, somewhere between Phil Ochs and Rufus Wainwright, manages to be both warm and breezy, and makes a supple vehicle for his generally easygoing original storytelling... Hooky, evocative tracks reveal a solid singer songwriter with broad appeal" - Portland Monthly

Award winning songwriter Robin Jackson fronts a six-piece ensemble which offers mostly original repertoire cascading through dreamy indie folk, soulful blues, Gypsy pop, jazz and poetic desert ramblings.  Robin has shared stages with an array of notable bands including the Decembrists, The String Cheese Incident, Amanda Palmer and more and the band includes musicians from the MarchFourth Marching Band, The Shook twins and Vagabond Opera.  "A catchy and captivating song-crafter…a true storyteller." - NPR

"At 23, Moorea Masa’s music career has already taken quite a few turns. She trained with a gospel pastor. She lived in a cave for six months with flamenco guitarists. She appeared on American Idol. Most recently, she sang backup in the feel-good soul orchestra Ural Thomas and the Pain and for indie-folk brainiacs the Decemberists." - Wweek.

An Oregonian Native and quintessential soul singer, Moorea has just released her debut solo EP "Oh Mother".
