Survival Skills - Curves

Survival Skills (AKA Aaron Bergeson) electronic producer, live DJ, and radio DJ from Portland, Oregon releases his first full length Curves!

Curves – the forthcoming album on Cavity Search Records is an exploration of soundscapes, boom bap, tape music, and off beat grooves. Recorded over the course of 2014 the progression of sound is clear with a common thread pulled throughout the piece as a whole; delivering a cohesive record that feels like a daydream washed out in a summer haze. Survival Skills is host of the popular “Beat Parlor” (KMHD) instrumental, electronic, and off-jazz beats radio show in Portland, Oregon.

Survival Skills is an artist who draws from the inspiration of everyone from Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, to Theo Parish and St. Germain. With a broad vision and respect for electronic music Curves is an album that will feel right at home among the ranks of Flying Lotus, The Cyclist, Julien Dyne, and Karen Gwyer.
