Alberta Street Pub

Re-established in 2013, the Alberta Street Pub is a complete remodel of the old neighborhood Public House. The kitchen serves up an inspired and locally sourced menu to complement our craft cocktails and the 21 rotating draft beers. The Pub continues its tradition of friendly service with skilled bartenders, table service, a live music venue, and enormous heated patio. The venue side has been updated as well with a focus on acoustics and comfort. We offer one of the best listening environments in Portland with an intimate setting and a high quality sound system. Whether it’s bluegrass, jazz, folk, country, soul, or funk you’ll find something to love nearly every night of the week. SIN Mondays! Bring in your OLCC/Food Handler's Cards for happy hour prices from open to close every Monday!

This Portland jamgrass quartet puts on a groovy, quirky, and lively genrebuster of a show. Their diverse sound fuses ideas from jazz, blues, and rock rooted in acoustic instrumentation. This unique blend of styles has brought The Student Loan to prominent pacific northwest events such as Northwest String Summit, Wintergrass, and Bend Fall Festival. In addition to their time at home, the band has toured overseas to 16 countries, holding workshops for students and performing free, public concerts for the U.S. State Department's cultural exchange programs.

The Student Loan recently released their fourth studio album, 'Moonlit Toasters.' Produced by guitar slinging extraordinaire Scott Law of Phil Lesh and Friends, the album marks a new stage of style, spunk, and creativity for the band that is celebrating 10 years together in 2015. Their energy will get you up and movin', so be sure to bring your dancin' shoes!

We are folk musicians based in Portland, Oregon. Our mission is to interpret, preserve, and disseminate folk music created in and about the Pacific Northwest. If you know of any songs or musicians who create non-commercial music that depicts the lives and work of fisherman, loggers, longshoremen, or other working folk of our region, then please get in touch with us and let us know all about it!
