DoveDriver is the brainchild of guitarist/producer Teddy Presberg, a sought after sidemen who uses the group to showcase his original, experimental songs that mesh funk, jazz, and electro rock. The band grooves hard like a J Dilla beat but melts minds with John Coltrane sheets of sounds via synths and shredding guitars on the top.
Presberg is a veteran musician and an award-winning composer who writes for advertising, TV and film, but also produces for other artists he admires. He has released records stateside on Ropeadope Records (DJ Logic, Christian McBride, Snarky Puppy, Charlie Hunter and Medeski, Martin, and Wood) and also internationally with Timewarp Records. He has toured the US and shared the stage with other current guitar masters such as David ‘Fuze’ Fiuczynski, Fareed Haque, and John Scofield. Presberg constantly changes his band lineup with musicians to interpret him.
Presberg is known for speaking his own language on the guitar. He’s not flashy with in-your-face chops. He can own one note, and with that note, you know exactly what he means. His unique style is a highly sought after skill for studio sessions of all genres as seen through his large guest appearance list on albums ranging from country to hip-hop to folk.
Fresh Track delivers a healthy blend of rock, funk, and synth driven dance music. Drawing from many different influences, you can expect high energy jams, catchy dance grooves, and the occasional prog rock riff to keep things interesting. Featuring some of Portland's finest players from groups such as Shafty, Jarrod Lawson and the Good People, and Yak Attack.
