The Pub continues its tradition of friendly service with skilled bartenders, table service, a live music venue, and enormous heated patio. The venue side has been updated as well with a focus on acoustics and comfort. We offer one of the best listening environments in Portland with an intimate setting and a high quality sound system. Whether it’s bluegrass, jazz, folk, country, soul, or funk you’ll find something to love nearly every night of the week. Wilhelmina + The Wild Wood Double CD Release Show! $5-20 suggested donation

Singer/songwriter/violinist/guitarist Wilhelmina is a rising young artist in the new acoustic music scene. Her original music features her sweet, soulful voice soaring over rich and complex instrumental arrangements. She has roots in classical and  traditional music as well as pop, rock, jazz, and electronic influences. She won the Oregon State Fiddle Contest Junior Champion and National Twin Fiddle Champion at age 15. Other artists she has performed with include Aoife O'donovan, Laurie Lewis, Tim O'Brien, Darol Anger, Pink Martini, Mike Marshall, Kai Welch, John Reishman, Rushad Eggleston, and many more.  She has also been selected for the Savannah Acoustic Music Seminar twice. Performing with her are 5 time national fiddle champion/cellist Tristan Clarridge of wildly popular alternative bluegrass band Crooked Still, and hammer dulcimer virtuoso/bassist Simon Chrisman of The Bee Eaters and the Jeremy Kittle Band.

Based right here in Portland, The Wild Wood is a high-energy string quartet drawing from Bluegrass, Folk, Punk, Gypsy Jazz, and more. They resonate with that part of us which is rooted in a simpler way of life, with with dynamic arrangements, emotional vocal harmonies and virtuosic solos. This constellation of accomplished young musicians (including 2 national champions - mandolin and twin fiddles) has been attracted toward one another by the affinity they share with traditional Folk music, it's re-emergence and evolution.
