Alberta Street Pub

Open 4pm to 1amish Every Day

Re-established in 2013, the Alberta Street Pub is a complete remodel of the old neighborhood Public House. The kitchen serves up an inspired and locally sourced menu to compliment our craft cocktails and the 21 rotating draft beers. The Pub continues its tradition of friendly service with skilled bartenders, table service, a live music venue, and enormous heated patio. The venue side has been updated as well with a focus on acoustics and comfort. We offer one of the best listening environments in Portland with an intimate setting and a high quality sound system. Whether it’s bluegrass, jazz, folk, country, soul, or funk you’ll find something to love nearly every night of the week. Ask about our service industry discounts or discover our happy hour food and drink specials Monday through Friday from 4 to 6pm.

The Wishermen EP Release • Kulululu • Two Planets • $7

The music of the experimental ensemble The Wishermen teems with melodic ositnatos and harmonic rhythms. Their genre bending compositions travel from quirky pop tunes to noise-scapes, while blurring the line between the improvised and the composed. The core members of the band (Barra Brown-drums, Grant Sayler-guitar, and Chris Friesen-bass) began playing together in 2010 and often invite other musicians to orbit their concept driven sounds.

Kulululu has traveled long and far to finally arrive on earth. While here, Kulululu is in search of the answers to the questions; why? and why not? You may not understand what they are saying. You may not understand why they look the way they do. They may not understand these things either. What's important is that time is continuous, and without it we cannot find our way back to where we started.

The Portland-based hip-hop band, Two-Planets joins four live instrumentalists with, one of the "dopest, most slept-on" MCs in the Northwest, Dusty Fox.  Meshing the conversational spontaneity of jazz with the hard-hitting force of classic and contemporary rap styles, this five man collective is redefining hip-hop’s role in the West.
