Jack Dwyer is a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter, and teacher based in Portland, OR. He performs and teaches around the country with various musical projects and works on the Adjunct Music Faculty of Lewis and Clark College.
Jack's latest musical adventures are as mandolinist in the Scott Law Bluegrass Dimension, a Northwest powergroup featuring Scott Law, Sam Grisman, Luke Price, and occasional member Sam Howard. The group has been playing together in this configuration since the spring 2013, and has appeared at venues and festivals around the Northwest including, Wintergrass, String Summit, and the Oregon Country Fair.
In January 2013, Jack collaborated with fellow Portland mandolinist and Lewis and Clark adjunct Tim Connell to release Mando Planet, a collection of instrumental world music mandolin duets. They performed a few months later at the 2013 Wintergrass Festival and continue to bring their music to new audiences as Mando Planet.
Jack performs regularly under his own name with various Portland area musicians. In 2013 he released Collected Songs Vol. 1, an EP of original songs available for stream and download at jackdwyer.bandcamp.com
