Duranlo • Courtney Marie Andrews • Matty Charles & Katie Rose • $8

Saturday premieres Duranlo, a new trio formed by Brandon Clemmens (of Night Mechanic and Pan Tourismos) to play his rock reinterpretations of historic mountain songs. Reed Wallsmith will be on drums, Gavin Castleton on bass.  Check out their facebook event here.

Courtney Marie Andrews is an American singer/songwriter originally from Phoenix, Arizona. At the age of 17, Courtney released her first album.  From there she took the musician life by the reins, touring all over the world, by Greyhound Bus, train, and her station wagon.  Between her observant lyrics, unique guitar playing, and classic angelic voice, she has created a sound all her own.  After several releases and tours she made her way up to Seattle, Washington, where she currently lives.

Matty Charles is an American singer/songwriter and guitar player who writes classic, economical songs that channel iconic balladeers like Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake, and Hank Williams. His music is deeply rooted in traditional American folk and country styles, exploring themes of love, loss, and longing.

He was joined by Katie Rose, a Portland musician, in 2013 after a chance meeting revealed an unexpectedly strong vocal compatibility. They have been likened to Emmy Lou Harris and Gram Parsons as well as the Everly Brothers.
